What do you do when you have an 8 year old with a wicked talent for illustrating, a non-linear editing bay, and half an hour to kill. Make a movie of course! Check it out:

ELIJAH

Best Movie of the Year (any year)

Although I meant too see this quite a long time ago for some reason I just got around to it. By far my favorite film in a long time. Cinematography, Soundtrack, Performances, Screenplay, all get a 10.

Luke Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums, Old School), Academy Award nominee Adriana Barraza (Babel) and Radha Mitchell (Finding Neverland) star in a modern day fable about the unexpected wonders of the everyday from director Mark Pellington (U2 3D, The Mothman Prophesies). Henry Poole is Here tells the funny, poignant and uplifting story of a disillusioned man who attempts to hide from life in a rundown suburban tract home only to discover he cannot escape the forces of hope.

Who done did it?

I got this from my good friend Stephen Cole who claims to not know where he got it, but I’d really like to know who made this video. It’s Quentin cool. Dropped it to flash for all to enjoy, so enjoy it!! And if you know who produced this, please let me know!

Off-road Filmmaking

We’re working on a new short for the Lifechurch.tv Phoenix campus, and every single time I do one of these the message seems to apply to something I’m going through at the time. Maybe it’s coincidence, maybe it’s supernatural. Either way, it’s one of the reasons I do what I do. The best part about making spiritual films like these, is the thought that it could change someone’s life. Spending time in the wilderness with my son and friends is just a bonus!
